Our Lenten program takes our schola throughout the greater Cleveland area both for the Holy sacrifice of the Mass, and in traditional psalms and chanted responses of Tenebrae.
Tenebrae, Latin meaning ‘shadows’, originates from the ancient monastic prayer service of Matins, and refers to the somber lamentations of a forlorn Israel and the passion of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Traditional responsories are sung and chanted in a way to lead us into deeper contemplation of the sacrifice which was ransomed for our salvation.
Enrich your Lenten experience by joining us for Mass Sunday, March 15th, or Tenebrae at either Mary Queen of Peace, Cleveland, or on Campus at Walsh University, North Canton.
